I was shopping at my local JoAnn Fabrics recently and was surprised to see this Annie's quilt book.
I just had to take a few photos. Here's the back of the book:
Yup, that's my table runner in the top left corner. It's called Jelly Jar and I just love how that one turned out -- it's a little retro and very sweet.
Let's take a peek inside the book now:
There's my Jelly Jar Runner.
Here's my Zoo Review -- isn't it fun for a kiddo?
Finally, here is another one of my table runners called Cut Jewels.
It's a fun book and includes 3 of my quilts.
What????? You don't have this one yet?
Well, I guess you'll be heading to your local fabric store to get one, won't you?
LOL!

Local Quilters in the Same Publication!
Dang! I ruined my streak of writing a weekly blog post last week. Oh well, I'm going to get myself back on track.
I just had to share this awesome story with you.
Recently, I received my author copy of the book, Farmhouse-Style Quilting, which is a compilation of the work of many quilt designers. The book was created by Annie's Quilting.
To buy your own copy of the book, go HERE. It is available as a book or an ebook.
I was fortunate to have 2 projects accepted for the publication --

I was fortunate to have 2 projects accepted for the publication --
Red-Letter Day Place Mats p.9
and
Wash Day p. 29
My Wash Day Quilt made the front cover of the publication. If you look closely at the wooden crate under the bench, you can see my quilt peeking out. (Tehehe)
Wash Day was quilted by one of my favorite local long arm machine quilter's, the very talented Karen Shields of Karen's Quilting Studio.
The design for Wash Day came to me pretty quickly once I found the Moda collection Oxford by Sweetwater. The fabrics reminded me of my Grandpa and his quilt, which I inherited after he passed away. The quilt was made by his mother -- my great grandmother -- when he was a young man before he married my grandmother. It is one of my most treasured items, even though it is faded and worn. (I promise to add a photo of the quilt to this post when I get the chance.)
Here's the back of the book. You can see both my projects there!
Anyway, another of the designs in the Farmhouse-Style Quilting book is by my friend and fellow designer, Cathey Laird. You might know Cathey from her ruler, the Firefly Glow Y Block Ruler. Cathey's design is called Country Stars Runner.
Okay, what's really neat is that another one of my friends and fellow quilters, Kristine Smith, also had a quilt featured in this book. Her quilt is called Country Comfort and it was machine quilted by another friend, Debi Crocker. Kristine's quilt is also on the back cover of the book.
As they say on info-mercials --
but wait -- there's more!
All five of us --
Karen, Cathey, Kristine, Debi, and me --
live right here in northwestern PA
AND WE ALL BELONG TO
THE SAME QUILT GUILD!
Holy Guacamole, Batman! Can you believe it???

Busy Busy Busy
I've had blogging on my to-do list for the last couple weeks and just haven't quite gotten to it. So I decided that I was going to start this week out right and blog on Sunday. LOL!
I thought I'd show you some recent publications featuring some of my quilt projects. Most likely you can find them at your local shop but I've included the links to the publications on the Annie's online catalog just in case.
1. Terrific Table Toppers. Fun and seasonal toppers (which means table runners and table quilts). My quilt, An Apple a Day, is on page 28. There are 9 projects in this lovely little book that retails for $9.99 at your favorite quilt shop OR you can find it HERE -- there's even a digital download version if you prefer.
3. Annie's Christmas Special Interest Publication (SIP). I just saw this at local stores this past week. It won't last very long -- there are 70+ projects ranging from quilting (of course) to crochet to knitting. My Christmas Stars Runner is on page 22 and the matching place mats are on page 20. Grab this one when you see it, it retails $9.99.
4. Autumn Colors. Get your harvest on since it's now the first day of Fall. Time to head to your sewing space and make some cozy and fun projects for you and your loved ones. I have several quilts featured in this one: Color Cascade (page 12), Trick or Treat (page 16), Harvest Star (page 92), Color Play (page 95), Modern Harvest Runner and Place mats (page 98). Whew! I'm getting tired just writing all of them down. You can get it at your local shop or HERE.
Doesn't Fall just make you want to burrow in your sewing room and sew something? These great publications will offer you lots of inspiration and options.

Check Out These New Publications
Being a quilt designer is like riding a roller coaster most of the time. All of sudden, I could have 3 or 4 or even 5 quilts that need done ASAP........then I'll hit a nothing spot for a while. This cycle just keeps repeating over and over. Like I said, it's like riding a roller coaster.
Anyway, in the last month or so, I've received 5 new magazines featuring my projects. What fun! Let me show them to you. Most if not all of them should be available by now. Of course, I actually made the projects months and months ago, but that's how it is in the quilt magazine world.

Check out my Jelly Roll friendly throw quilt, Blue Hawaii, in this issue of Quilting Quickly!
You're going to love my quilt In the Spotlight in this magazines -- it features awesome fabric from the Hello Jane collection.
First time in Country Sampler -- my mom's favorite magazine! YAY! Check out the DIY section in the back for my Christmas ornament.
I have several Christmas goodies featured in this one -- ornaments and even a yo yo garland.
See the cute place mat top left on the cover? That's my design. Woohoo!
Hope you'll be on the lookout for these publications -- they are sure to inspire you.

Returning to the Land of Quilt Blogging!
Hi There!
I am finally resurfacing after a long time away from blogging.
What have I been up to?
Well, I've been quilting, quilting, quilting......with little time for anything else right now except more quilting, writing instructions, and shipping quilts as fast as I can make them. Oh, and my "day job" too, of course. :)
So I thought I'd take a little time to catch up.
I've been making quilts for a lot of different publications recently and I'm also looking forward to Spring Quilt Market next month in St. Louis. My book, I LOVE PRECUT QUILTS! will be officially debuting there so I'll be participating in Schoolhouse and doing a book signing at the C&T booth.
Here are some of the other publications that you can find me in right now:
Stay tuned in the next couple weeks for the Quiltmaker's 100 Block Volume 15 Blog Hop. It's sure to be lots of fun with great quilt blocks and quilt ideas......and super prizes, too!
